PECRKO is a leading provider of clinical research education, serving minority and underserved communities. We offer a vetted participant database, as well as entry-level medical vocational training to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Underserving community populations can be more at risk for certain diseases—such as Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, HIV/AIDS, Lupus, and Osteoporosis —which is why it is important for minorities to participate in clinical research. The lack of participation in clinical research has forced innovations to be based on the demographic that does participate, therefore, medical equipment and medications in some cases must be altered for consumption. The alternations of medication and medical equipment can cause unnecessary side effects, numerous provider visits and essentially an overall increase in medical care cost, which is why diversity in clinical trials is essential.
